“Any form of art is a form of power; it has impact, it can affect change – it can not only move us, it makes us move.”
— Pablo Picasso
Our Funding Strategy
With grants typically ranging from $5,000 to $50,000, our grant program focuses on three main areas:
public art and exhibitions
artist fellowships and residencies
arts education and access
While Wisconsin is our founders’ home, on occasion HFF makes commitments elsewhere - particularly in communities where extended family members live and work.
We work closely with grantees to ensure that our support has a meaningful and measurable impact on their artistic practice and on the communities they serve.
Application and Inquiries
Because we believe that your time and energy is best spent in service to your organization’s mission, we have worked to streamline the application process (no special application portals, no lengthy budget documents or burdensome reporting requirements).
Interested organizations should send a letter of inquiry describing their organization and the program/project they would like funded. Please include the grant amount requested.
Inquiry letters should be no more than two pages and be received by June 30th each year.
If you prefer to mail your inquiry letter, please mail to:
Hoke Family Foundation
PO Box 64
Fish Creek, WI 54212
Inquiry letters will be reviewed by the full Board of Directors. The Board will make funding decisions based on the letter of inquiry, and/or follow-up with additional questions specific to the project/program request in order to finalize its decisions.
*If your program or project is not funded in one year, you may re-apply the next funding cycle. Be sure to send a letter of inquiry by the June 30th deadline.
